About Us
The GAP Festival is a celebration of the Arts and Entertainment that started as an ambitious cultural project in 2014. After the first Festival, the word spread and now a Festival takes place in June every other year in the beautiful Goring Gap villages of Goring and Streatley. It brings outstanding performers and artists together with events encompassing art, music, literature, comedy, theatre, science and more. Sadly, the 2020 Festival has had to be cancelled to help contain the spread of COVID-19 but we intend to be back.

A Message from Festival Patron Gyles Brandreth
I am honoured and delighted to continue as Patron of The GAP Festival. The planning team has again come up with a very appealing programme of events and I am delighted to see that poetry will feature this year. I have loved poetry for as long as I can remember. Whether you are nine or ninety I hope you will, like me, discover the extraordinary heart-lifting and life enhancing power of poetry to make you laugh, cry, think, feel, sustain and surprise, one joyous poem at a time. Although I cannot be with you in person this year, I wish you a very enjoyable Festival 2020. |
