Atea Wind Quintet
Music for a summer’s evening – some classical and some light tunes, ending with the jazzy Hallam Dance Suite. The programme will include Samuel Barber’s Summer Music, Debussy, Hallam, Gyogy Orban, Eugene Bozza and Franz Danzi – a beautiful summery concert. The Atea Quintet is comprised of five young players who are graduates of the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Northern College of Music. Since 2012, the Quintet has been the Associate Ensemble in Residence at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
