FREE Fringe Live Music Events
Alongside all of the spectacular music events you’ll find detailed in the GAP Festival programme, there will also be a wide range of “fringe” music events popping up throughout the ten day period. These will take place at local pubs, restaurants and community venues in both intimate indoor and alfresco outdoor settings.
From jazz and folk, to acoustic and pop music. Individual performers to full-pieced bands. Local groups to semi-professional musicians. Many of them have graced the stage at Goring Unplugged events during its 19 years of existence.
These unticketed, FREE performances will give you the chance to sit back and soak up the Festival atmosphere with a drink in hand.

Friday 3rd June 6pm
The John Barleycorn, Goring
Sit back and take in the sounds of folk singer Sara Daniels and finger picking guitarist and singer Robert Buttrick in the intimate setting of The John Barleycorn.

Festival Market Day, Rectory Garden, Goring
Join whistle player Stuart Miller and fiddler Andy Taylor at our Festival family market day where you can soak up their sounds whilst browsing products of local traders and enjoying children’s activities too!

The Catherine Wheel, Goring
Goring Unplugged presents a live showcase including Greg Mayston’s Folk, Blues, Americana, Eloise Rees and others in the garden at The Catherine Wheel.

Sunday 5th June 6pm
Miller of Mansfield, Goring 
Folk acoustic group Furlong will kickstart an evening of live music followed by the Good Old Boys at the Miller of Mansfield.

Tuesday 7th June 1pm
Rectory Garden, Goring
Join the Theale CofE Primary School Steel Band for some lunchtime fun in Goring Arcade that will be sure to get your toes-tapping.

Tuesday 7th June 7.30pm - 9.30pm
The Swan at Streatley
Listen to the timeless tones of singer Jenny Fay as she performs her latest album Cloister. This relaxed evening will be one filled with jazz as the Ewen Baird Quartet also take to the stage.

Wednesday 8th June 8pm 
Goring Social Club 
Join the Roy Bailey Big Band for a spectacular performance of big band classics and more recent arrangements too at Goring Social Club.

Friday 10th June 4pm 
The Bull at Streatley
Head on over to The Bull at Streatley for four piece band The Night Herons as they perform a range of music with jazz, funk, folk and pop influences. They will be joined by The Robert Buttrick Band.

The Catherine Wheel, Goring

Goring Village Hall and Rectory Garden, Goring
Come and enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning at the Big Breakfast as we round off the Festival with a bacon butty in hand. Enjoy a range of live music from local performers including Goring Primary School Choir, Jenny Faye Jazz and fiddler Andy Taylor.
