Indian Block Printing

In this workshop with Merete Hawkins, you will become familiar with the basic technique of block printing on fabric, using carved Indian wood blocks as well as other printing blocks. There will be time to experiment with traditional blocks, coordinating blocks and also free layering of patterns. You will be given a tote bag to print your own design on and also a couple of pieces of fabric for printing, which can be made into cushion covers at home. No experience is required.
